To the north of the city you will find the popular San Antonio International Airport (SAT). The airport is located on the northern side of the I-410 interstate, which loops around the San Antonio area. Also close to the SAT Airport complex, the US-281 (San Pedro Avenue) lies to the west and leads to the Hill Country Village, while the Wurzbach Parkway and the I-35 interstate (Pan Am Expressway) are both sited to the east.

On the northern side of San Antonio Airport you will find East Nakoma Street, the Blossom Athletic Center, Starcrest Drive and the McAllister Park, which is bounded by Jones-Maltsberger Road, Thousand Oaks Drive and Wetmore Road.


General directions to San Antonio International Airport (SAT) from San Antonio city center:

  • Travel along Loop I-410 (East or West)
  • Take the Airport Boulevard exit
  • Follow the airport sign posts and then turn into the ground of the San Antonio Airport

Directions to San Antonio International Airport (SAT) from the north:

  • Follow the US-281 highway and leave at the signposted Airport Drive Exit
  • Head along the South Terminal Drive
  • Drive past two sets of traffic lights and enter the Parking Entry Plaza

Directions to San Antonio International Airport (SAT) from the south:

  • Head along the I-35 interstate in a northerly direction on join the US-281 highway
  • Take the signposted Airport Exit and continue towards the car park

Directions to San Antonio International Airport (SAT) from the east:

  • Head along the Loop I-410 in a westerly direction
  • Leave at the exit for the Airport Boulevard and follow the signposts for the car park

Directions to San Antonio International Airport (SAT) from the west:

  • Head along the Loop I-410 in an easterly direction
  • Leave at the exit for the Airport Boulevard and follow the signposts for the car park
